Item information

Saturday 6th May 2017

After the popularity of last year’s event and with many requests to return, the Club will be holding a sprint introduction/training day at Curborough on the 6th May 2017.

Curborough Sprint Course needs no introduction, it is one of the countries most famous sprint venues.

A sprint is not a race, its one car on track at a time; a driver has the chance to drive the car to their best ability, with no fear of oncoming traffic or other cars on track to negotiate. Curborough is a tight technical sprint track and we will be using the short course, to ensure that all drivers get at least four runs round the circuit, in any combination of laps.

Please Note: Confrimation of your order will be sent by email. Track opening times, driver instructions and infromation will be emailed to particpants 2 weeks prior to the day.
What do you need to bring?
  • A helmet if you have one, some Club helmets will also be available.
  • Your Car - This must be road legal (MOT’d) and the tyres must also be road legal. (Road legal track tyres are acceptable) Trackday cars are acceptable, but need to be road legal – no cars on trailers please!
  • Trousers and long sleeve tops; you don’t need race suits, or boots.
Sound checks will be conducted by an official MSA scrutineer, the limit is 105db taken at 1 metre from the exhaust, so if your levels are louder than this you may be refused permission to drive it on track.
No oil leaks – they can cause accidents on track. Please check your car over before commencing any track activity.
We only have space for 35 cars
Shared drives are acceptable but the member's vehicle must be used and each driver will need to purchase a ticket.
If you do not fancy driving, why not come along and spectate, it is free to atend - passenger places are available for a small fee of £5.00 paid on the day. Catering will be available so bring some tuck shop money!

This is a Club fun day only, not a competition and no trophies will be given, the use of any timing is for personal training purposes only and there will be no official timing, nor times posted.
